Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, called for greater efforts to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on new industrialization and his important speech on Jiangsu’s work, conscientiously implement the deployment of the National New Industrialization Promotion Conference. He made the remarks at a provincial conference on the promotion of new industrialization held Monday in Nanjing. Governor Xu Kunlin presided over the meeting.
Xin Changxing pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made important speech on a series of major theoretical and practical issues related to new industrialization, greatly enriching and developing our party's understanding of the laws of industrialization, and providing us with fundamental guidance and action.
New industrialization is not only shouldering the new mission of supporting the Chinese path to modernization, but also stepping into a new stage of forming new quality productivity and moving towards high-quality development, reflecting in relying on new technologies to activate new drivers, expand new fields, open up new tracks, and create new advantages for Jiangsu's industrial development so as to strive to explore new paths, accumulate experience, and provide support for new industrialization nationwide.
Xin Changxing emphasized greater efforts to promote the revitalization of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future industries by focusing on 16 advanced manufacturing clusters and 50 industrial chains, strengthening the thinking of industrial clusters, implementing major technological equipment research projects, and industrial foundation reconstruction projects, promoting the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, paying attention to strengthening, supplementing, and extending the chain, and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone.
He demanded that traditional industries should promote the transformation and upgrading of production processes and equipment, accelerate the extension to the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, move towards the high-end of the value chain, and climb the peak of technological processes.
The provincial party chief required active implementation of intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and cyber connection, with a greater emphasis on using "Internet connection" to amplify the effects of intelligent transformation and digital upgrading, and create a strong province for digital entity integration so as to vigorously promote the empowerment of artificial intelligence technology for industrial development, and guide deep collaboration between artificial intelligence enterprises and industrial enterprises.
He called for the use of digital technology as an important means to accelerate the research and development, promotion and application of advanced industrial energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, and to make green and low-carbon a bright ecological background for Jiangsu's new industrialization.
