Jiangsu Talent Week was held at Peking University and Tsinghua University on Friday and Saturday under the joint sponsorship of the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
This job fair, the largest of its kind Jiangsu has ever held in Beijing, focuses on the integrated development of education, technology, and talent in a bid to make greater efforts to connect with college graduates and high-level talents, connect with high-value capital at higher levels, and connect with high-quality projects in a wider range of fields by carrying out a series of activities such as technology talent project roadshows, expert talent symposiums, and talent project signing, fully absorbing and gathering more innovative element resources, promoting the deep integration of innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, talent chain with fruitful achievements.
In response to high-level talents, Jiangsu has broken the conventional approach in a bid to attract talents through policies, attract talents through industries, implement top talent support plans, discuss the introduction of key talent teams on a case-by-case basis so as to offer exceptional promotion opportunities for outstanding young talents through innovative measures that continuously increase and upgrade and provide integrated and sustained support for talents.
120 Jiangsu enterprises received over 5100 resumes and reached preliminary employment intentions with nearly 800 people. More than 60 job fairs were held, providing 38 thousand high-quality job vacancies.
“I am considering seeking a job in Jiangsu, and I tend to enter a company to conduct research on the integration of industry and research”, Wang Mengfan, a doctoral candidate of Institute of Physics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, said.
“Through this campus recruitment, we aim to attract high-end talents who are suitable for our company's research and development positions”, Wang Beiru, Talent Development Expert at Jiangsu Riyu Photovoltaic New Material Technology Co., Ltd., said.
Jiangsu also invited 13 experts and scholars, including 7 academicians, to provide suggestions for the government’s talent work. The heads of the organization department, human resources and social security department and science and technology department from the 13 prefectural cities showed up at the job fairs in a bid to promote broader cooperation between Beijing and Jiangsu and the landing of higher quality projects.
