East China’s Jiangsu province recorded stable growth in the service industry in the first three quarters to provide strong support for the high-quality development of the province’s economy.
Statistics show that in the first three quarters, Jiangsu recorded 4943.397 billion yuan in its service industry added value, a year-on-year increase of 5.3, accounting for 53% of the regional GDP, an increase of 1.3 percentage points from a year ago, and stimulating economic growth by 2.8 percentage points.
With the rapid development of the digital economy, Jiangsu is accelerating its intelligent upgrading and digital transformation, and the information service related industries are growing rapidly.
In the first three quarters, Jiangsu recorded a 14.7% increase in the added value of information transmission software and information technology services.
Nanjing Weituo Technology Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the field of industrial software, has recently launched the "Digital Factory Suite", a product tailored for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, which can help improve efficiency in various aspects of production and management.
“The government's promotion of digitalization has extended from top enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises. In the past 18 years, we have established customer relationships with 1000 enterprises, with an average increase of 50 customers per year. This year, we have added 300 customers in one year, with a recorded output value of 150 million yuan in the first three quarters, and an expected growth rate of 30% for the entire year,” said Yang Songgui, Chairman of Nanjing Weituo Technology Co., Ltd.
Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has recorded an accelerated recovery in the cultural and tourism market by making sustained efforts to promote consumption policies so that residents' consumer confidence has gradually rebounded. Both supply and demand sides have worked together to promote the rapid growth of contact and aggregation service industries such as tourism, entertainment, and transportation.
The Hexia Ancient Town located in Huai'an District, Huai'an City has implemented environmental renovation and upgrading projects for the catering industry since the beginning of this year, promoting a significant improvement in tourism experience and service level.
“The popularity of Hexia Ancient Town is very strong now, as is evidenced by a significant increase in consumers and a 30% and 40% increase in revenue,” said Zhao Yongwei, a restaurant owner.
“We have re-optimized the layout of the catering industry in the ancient town and introduced nearly 20 characteristic catering chain brand enterprises. Since October, the ancient town has recorded over 300000 consumers, an increase of about 300% year-on-year,” said Ji Jinbao, Director of the Catering Service Industry Upgrading Office in Huai'an District, Huai'an City.
With the steady recovery of offline passenger flow, Jiangsu recorded an increase of 13.5% and 12.1% in the added value of the accommodation and catering industries, as well as the leasing and business service industries in the first three quarters.
