Xu Kunlin, the governor of Jiangsu Province, met with Markus Kamieth, member of the executive board of BASF Group in Nanjing on Thursday morning.
Xu Kunlin welcomed Markus Kamieth's visit to Jiangsu and congratulated BASF on the upcoming production of its new project. He said that Germany is Jiangsu's largest trading partner in Europe, and in recent years, both sides have deepened the exchanges by stepping up economic and trade cooperation.
He hoped that BASF will seize the opportunity, take advantage of the favorable time and increase investment in Jiangsu so as to introduce more green concepts, technologies, and products into Jiangsu, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in deep integration with the province’s chemical industry chain and supply chain.
Jiangsu will continue to create a market-oriented, legal, and internationalized first-class business environment, creating better conditions for foreign enterprises to invest and develop in Jiangsu.
Markus Kamieth thanked Jiangsu for its long-standing strong support to BASF. He said that Jiangsu's economy has strong resilience and great potential. BASF is continuously optimistic and confident in the prospects of cooperation between the two sides, and will promote the implementation and transformation of more new technologies and products, and work together to create more benchmark projects for sustainable development.
