The Third Generation Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Display Industry Development Conference held in Yandu District, Yancheng City on Saturday.
This conference is jointly hosted by the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yancheng Municipal Government.
In recent years, Yandu District has targeted third-generation semiconductors as its main direction of future industrial development by adhering to the principle of strengthening and revitalizing industries, taking advantage of the situation and seizing the opportunity, focusing on the integration of industrial chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain in a bid to attract leading projects and build a new ecosystem of industrial development. Hanyin Semiconductor, Konka Storage Chip, and Xinfeng Microelectronics have gathered in the Yancheng National High Tech Zone.
“We have been settled in Yancheng for 14 years and have entered the second peak of entrepreneurship. We are honored to collaborate with the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, hoping to accelerate the development of this industry,” said Wen Cheng, Chairman of Jiangsu Hanyin Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.
The Yancheng Semiconductor Integrated Technology Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was unveiled at the opening ceremony.
Semiconductors and integrated circuits are emerging industries that Jiangsu has made every effort to seek development. At present, Jiangsu has basically formed an industrial layout that integrates design, manufacturing, packaging, and raw materials, and is extending from southern Jiangsu to Yancheng, playing an important role in expanding the scale, strengthening, and supplementing the integrated circuit industry in the province.
“Yancheng has now achieved layout and development in terms of the third-generation semiconductor. The Institute of Semiconductor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has also established a research institute here, which provides good support for Yancheng and some enterprises, universities and related centers in terms of integrated processing technology and testing,” said Chen Lianghui, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
