Changzhou gathers momentum with steady NEV production

The city of Changzhou has launched a series of measures since the beginning of this year to support the construction of the new energy capital and the development of the manufacturing industry so as to have stepped up the development of the new energy vehicle industry, support the steady progress of industrial production, while strengthening the strong new driving force of the manufacturing industry.

The Li Automobile Changzhou Base has continued to roll off the line new energy vehicles. With the rapid growth of production and sales, Changzhou has achieved the coordinated development of the automotive core component industry.

In the Li Automotive Parts Industrial Park in Wujin District, Huichuan New Energy Vehicle Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. has increased its production lines, resulting in an increase of over 50000 units of key components for new energy vehicles in a single month.

“The power supply, electronic control, and motor are all supplied by us, and their excellent sales have led us to continuously increase production capacity. The output value in the first half of the year exceeded that of the last year,” said Yang Ruicheng, Vice President of Suzhou Huichuan United Power System Co., Ltd.

Changzhou has formed a relatively complete industrial chain by centering on key links such as power supply, electronic control, motors, chips, and intelligent networking.

The workers at the intelligent factory of Kehua Holdings' energy-saving system components are rushing to complete orders. In the first three quarters, the company recorded sales revenue of nearly 2 billion yuan and profits of over 80 million yuan.

“We are promoting some relatively large projects and actively conducting preliminary research and development with our clients. We have stabel orders and all aspects of production are being organized and arranged,” said Zong Lou, General Manager of Kehua Holdings Co., Ltd.

From January to September, Changzhou recorded a production of 459 thousand new energy vehicles, ranking first in the province. The city also reported year-on-year increase of 32.1% in the output value of the new energy vehicles and core automotive components industry cluster. The new energy manufacturing industry grew by 19.9%, and the added value of industries above designated size increased by 8.9% year-on-year.
