The construction of the Yangzhou section of the Nanjing-Yancheng Expressway started on Tuesday. The Nanjing-Yancheng Expressway is an important component of the planned high-speed network in Jiangsu, and also serves as the northern ring road of Yangzhou Expressway.
The route starts from the Nanjing Ring Expressway, passes through Liuhe District, Yizheng District, Gaoyou City, Xinghua, and ends at the Yancheng-Jingjiang Expressway in Nanjing.
The total length of Yangzhou section is about 90 kilometers, and it is expected to open by the end of 2027 to become the fastest east-west expressway between Nanjing and Yancheng, compressing the travel time from Nanjing to Yancheng to 2 hours.
The main structure of the comprehensive building at the Woditan Depot of Suzhou Metro Line 8 was topped off on Monday with the final top slab concrete starting pouring.
The opening of Suzhou Metro Line 8 next year will provide new growth points for the economic and social development of Suzhou, supporting the construction of an urban spatial structure in the central and two axis areas of Suzhou, as well as a "T-shaped" urban spatial structure in the central and two-district areas.
