The 1st session of the 12th Provincial CPPCC concluded Monday afternoon in Nanjing after completing all the agendas through the concerted efforts of all the deputies.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Yan Li, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC.
Huang Lixin, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, was elected chairwoman of the Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC. Huang also serves as the executive vice governor of Jiangsu.
The legislative session adopted the resolution of the First Session of the 12th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
During the closing ceremony speech, Huang Lixin said that the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee should take the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era as the guide and implement the spirit of the 19 CPC National Congress and the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work in Jiangsu.
She also demanded that the deputies to the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee should act in accordance with the requirements made by Provincial CPC Secretary Lou Qinjian at the opening ceremony, focus on the objectives and requirements set forth by the 13th CPC Provincial Congress and the 3rd Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Provincial Committee and perform their duties with the spirit of reform and innovation so as to do a good job of the work for greater achievements in the new era.
