Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Governor of Jiangsu, joined a group deliberation of deputies from Zhenjiang city to the annual session of the Provincial People's Congress in Nanjing, capital of east China’s Jiangsu province on the morning of January 30.
Wu Zhenglong remarked that work reports of the Provincial Higher Court and the Provincial Procuratorate adhere to the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era as a guide, implemented the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the political and legal work of the CPC Central Committee and requirements made by the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The governor added that the two reports also implemented spirit of the 13th Provincial CPC Congress and the Third Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial CPC Congress on political and legal work.
The Governor said the historical achievements and changes that have taken place in the country's economic development since the 18th CPC National Congress has resulted from the scientific guidance of the new development concept of the Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.
The development concepts of innovation, coordination, green development, opening up and sharing is the guideline for the province’s overall development in the next five years, the governor said, adding that Zhenjiang should identify its development orientation in the new journey and the new course of development and spearhead its high quality development with the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Wu Zhenglong hoped Zhenjiang would strive to strengthen industrial support through strengthening innovation-driven economy, optimizing the business environment, promoting the integrated development of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou and deepening the supply-side structural reforms.
Zhenjiang should strive to strengthen industrial support by means of excellent achievements, and make the people's sense of well-being and sense of gain more satisfied by building a well-off society in an all-round way, the governor said.
