Entrepreneurs, financiers, and science and technology professionals gathered in Nanjing Tuesday to offer their expert advice on helping new research and development institutions open the door from research to products at the inaugural Nanjing Innovation and Development Summit of New Research and Development Institutions.
The summit is intended to help new R&D institutions build exchange and cooperation platforms, optimize the innovation chain, improve the capital chain, and strengthen the industrial chain through the angel investors’ conference, special recommendations and the establishment of innovative alliances.

Since last September, Nanjing has successfully signed 123 new R&D institutions. At the summit, 26 new R&D institutions were awarded the plate to be placed on record for registration, enabling them for policy fund awards. At the same time, 40 products from 20 new R&D institutions were awarded with innovative product promotion model awards. These supportive policies will prompt new R&D institutions to connect the last kilometer of scientific and technological achievements as soon as possible.
