East China’s Jiangsu province reported rising numbers of new market entities from January to October, the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau said on Wednesday.
Statistics show from January to October, Jiangsu registered a daily average of 4,444 new market entities, adding up to a total of 1.351 million and up 8.2% year-on-year.
The province recorded a daily average of 1487 newly registered enterprises during the ten-month period, adding up to a total of 452,000 registered enterprises and up 2.7% year-on-year.
The number of newly registered individual industrial and commercial businesses reached 898,000, an increase of 11.7% from a year ago.
In order to encourage more people to be engaged in business startup, Nanjing has introduced 100 measures for business environment optimization, requiring full implementation of online registration, reducing corporate application procedures and stimulating market vitality. From January to October of this year, Nanjing registered 176,300 new market entities, an increase of 5.97% year on year.
The market supervision department in Wuxi has continuously promoted streamlining administration and delegating approval powers by digitalizing the application formalities for registration of business licenses. In January-October, 102,800 new market entities were added.
The city of Xuzhou has simplified the application and registration procedures in order to create a relaxed and convenient access environment.
The city of Suzhou has actively formulated supporting policies to promote the high-quality development of market players, as is evidenced by the average annual growth rate of new market players by 17% year on year.
