The provincial government and the China Three Gorges Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement Friday in Nanjing. Before the signing ceremony, Lou Qinjian, secretary of the provincial party committee, and governor Wu Zhenglong met with Lei Mingshan, chairman of the Three Gorges Group and Wang Lin, the General Manager.
LouQinjianand Wu Zhenglong expressed their gratitude to the Three Gorges Group for its long-standing support for Jiangsu's development.
LouQinjiansaid that Jiangsu is currently implementing Xi Jinping Thought on ecological civilization in a profound manner and promote the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt with a high degree of political consciousness and a strong sense of mission.
In the critical period of high-quality development, in the face of the dual tasks of ecological environment management and industrial transformation and upgrading, Jiangsu particularly needs to strengthen deep cooperation with the central enterprises such as the Three Gorges Group, said Lou.
The CPC Provincial chief hoped that the two sides will take the signing as a new starting point, take advantage of their respective strengths to make comprehensive and deepen cooperation, and jointly explore new ways of ecological priority and green development, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
Jiangsuwill spare no effort to provide high quality and efficient services for the development of the Three Gorges Group in Jiangsu, said Lou.
LeiMingshan and Wang Lin thanked Jiangsu for its strong support for the development of the Three Gorges Group.
LeiMingshan said that Jiangsu is a developed province in the east China region, and the achievements of the development of the Three Gorges Group cannot be separated from the strong support of Jiangsu.
Lei noted that the Three Gorges Group will seize the major opportunities brought about by promoting the ecological and green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, shouldering the new mission and new tasks, giving play to the main role of the backbone, strengthening cooperation with Jiangsu in all aspects and contributing more to the construction of a new Jiangsu.
According to the framework agreement, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in the areas of protection over the Yangtze River, deepening cooperation in the energy field, upgrading the level of infrastructure interconnection and integration of the Yangtze River city clusters, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, and deepening cooperation in production, education and research.
