Governor Wu Zhenglong met with Chen Yin, member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, deputy mayor, and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee.
Wu Zhenglong expressed his gratitude to Shanghai for its long-term support for Jiangsu's development. He said that promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region is a major strategy that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally planned, deployed and promoted. Just after the end of the two sessions, Jiangsu and Shanghai have jointly discussed the construction of transportation infrastructure and cooperation in the field of ecological environment, and jointly promoted the development of higher quality integration in the Yangtze River Delta. This is an important deployment to implement the General Secretary’s instruction with practical actions and implement the major decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council.
As an important member of the Yangtze River Delta, Jiangsu will closely integrate the development of higher quality integration in the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, prioritize ecological and green development, give full play to major transportation infrastructure and ecological and environmental construction projects, highlight Shanghai’s leading role and make Jiangsu's contribution to speeding up the construction of a speedy, convenient, green and beautiful Yangtze River Delta.
Chen Yin thanked Jiangsu for its long-term support for Shanghai's development. He said that at present, Shanghai is making full-fledged implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions when inspecting Shanghai and implement the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as a national strategy, which requires the joint efforts of the three provinces and one municipality in the delta region to make joint research for shared advancement.
Shanghai will join hands with Jiangsu, promote major infrastructure construction, strengthen cooperation in ecological environmental protection, and jointly exert their respective advantages to form greater benefits, and work together to promote the development of higher quality integration in the Yangtze River Delta.
Before the meeting, Fan Jinlong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, executive deputy governor and secretary-general of the provincial party committee, and Chen Yin, signed a cooperation agreement on promoting the construction of transportation infrastructure and ecological environment between Jiangsu and Shanghai.
