Air quality in Jiangsu had been improved as of June 15, the provincial headquarters for the battle against air pollution said Sunday. Wuxi, Suzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, Taizhou and Suqian saw declining PM2.5 concentration and more days with good air quality, compared with the binding targets for air quality improvement in the prefectural cities in 2019. In the meantime, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Huai'an, and Lianyungang failed to measure up to the dust pollution prevention and control targets from January to May.
