The Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference met recently to study an important speech delivered by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, at a ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC. Huang Lixin, Secretary of the Provincial CPPCC Party Group and Chairwoman of the Provincial CPPCC, presided over the study session and delivered a speech.
Huang Lixin said that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech declared the realization of the first centenary goal, fully demonstrating our party’s historical commitment to rejuvenate the country and serve the people.
The General Secretary’s speech is set against profound historical context and distinctive characteristics of the times by highlighting Chinese characteristics and taking a broad international perspective, said Huang.
The chairwoman of the Provincial CPPCC said that with theoretical innovation and practical guidance, this speech has greatly enriched the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, making it a political manifesto of the Chinese Communists in the new era, a pilot beacon for the people of the country to forge ahead, and the clarion call for action toward the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The top advisors of the Provincial CPPCC pledged to preserve the iron will of the communists, constantly push forward the great new project of Party building, and strive to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The study session also called on the leading Party members group of the Provincial CPPCC to work harder to fulfill its duties and mission, and called on Party organizations and Party members within the Provincial CPPCC system to better focus on the central task and the overall situation, and better serve the country and the people.
Yan Li, Zhou Jiye, Wang Rongping and Yao Xiaodong were among the deputy chairpersons of the Provincial CPPCC delivering speeches at the study session.
