  为了让大家度过一个欢乐祥和、健康安全的新春佳节,现就春节出行防疫问题向大家作出解答

To ensure a happy and safe Spring Festival holiday, this article hereby gives the answers to the most concerned questions of residents.

What are the epidemic-related matters needing attention during the holiday?

The epidemic situation at home and abroad remains grim and complex. The forthcoming Spring Festival will lead to a surge in trips and gatherings. To coordinate the epidemic prevention and control and improve services during the Spring Festival travel rush, those returning to Suzhou, staying put in Suzhou or returning to their hometowns should shoulder the primary responsibility in keeping healthy, follow personal protection measures and abide by epidemic prevention policies.

Online New Year greetings via WeChat or phone are recommended. The frequency and size of offline visits and gatherings should be limited.

All residents should keep up the "three precautions against the epidemic", namely wearing masks, practicing social distancing and maintaining good hygiene. Let's bear in mind the "six to-dos still needed"--we still need to put on face masks, keep social distancing, cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, wash hands often, open windows for ventilation, and get vaccinated on time.

Seek medical treatment at the nearest fever clinics once symptoms such as fever, dry cough, sore throat and reduced sense of smell show. Wear masks and avoid using public transport when seeking medical treatment.

Wear masks properly, and cooperate in checks of temperatures, health codes and travel records when entering medical facilities. Please support and cooperate in the epidemic prevention and control requirements of medical facilities.

What are the requirements for coming to Suzhou from other provinces?

Those coming or returning to Suzhou from other provinces since January 20 should provide green health codes and negative nucleic acid testing results issued within 48 hours. Those who cannot provide the negative results should report to their residing communities (villages), employers or accommodating hotels at once, and take the test at the nearest sampling sites within 24 hours after arrival. They should avoid entering public venues and participating in gatherings, and wear masks properly before the results come out.

For those who are in cities with medium-risk or high-risk areas and those with a travel history to medium-risk or high-risk areas, can they return to Suzhou during the holiday?

(1) Those from domestic medium-risk or high-risk areas should suspend their trips to Suzhou until these areas are downgraded to low-risk.

(2) Those from low-risk areas of the cities with medium-risk or high-risk areas should report to their residing communities (villages) and employers (or accommodating hotels) at once after arrival, and proactively cooperate with local epidemic prevention and control authorities in such health management measures as health monitoring, nucleic acid testing, etc.

(3) For those whose travel records overlap with the ones of confirmed cases (including asymptomatic cases) and those coming to Suzhou with a travel history to medium-risk or high-risk areas, they should undergo 14-day quarantine at designated places plus 7-day health monitoring at home. The quarantine period should be counted from the day of departure.

(4) Those coming or returning to Suzhou from cities (or districts of municipalities directly under the central government) that have reported at least one confirmed case (including asymptomatic case) in the past 14 days should carry out 7-day health monitoring, during which two nucleic acid tests should be taken (one taken upon arrival and the other taken within 72 hours after arrival; the two tests should be no less than 24 hours apart).

(5) Those from counties and districts (or sub-districts of municipalities directly under the central government) that have reported at least one confirmed case (including asymptomatic case) in the past 14 days should strictly conduct 7-day health monitoring (starting from the day they left), during which three nucleic acid tests should be taken (on the first, third and seventh day, respectively).

(6) Avoid outing and crowded venues if possible during health monitoring.

Can workers in high-exposure risk jobs return to or leave Suzhou?

Workers in high-exposure risk jobs, including staffers at cold chain plants, ports and centralized isolation facilities, should be managed in a closed-off loop during working hours, and undergo quarantine at designated places and home-based health monitoring as required after changing shifts, shifting or leaving their posts. They should report to the residing communities (villages) of their destinations in a timely manner before returning to or leaving Suzhou, understand the epidemic prevention policies of their destinations, and cooperate in health management measures.
