East China’s Jiangsu province has taken multi-pronged measures to continue with the fight against the sporadic resurgence of the COVID-19 epidemic in Suzhou and Wuxi. Let’s take a close look.

At 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, four cured COVID-19 patients were discharged from the designated hospital, and got aboard two ambulances to head for the rehabilitation hospital by Taihu Lake.

The four patients had respiratory symptoms when they were admitted to the hospital, and some had lung inflammation.

Huang Jian'an, Leader of Suzhou COVID-19 Medical Treatment Expert Team said, "The pathogen infected by these patients is the Omikoron virus which is highly contagious but the symptom is relatively mild. We also pay special attention to whether patients have underlying diseases and high-risk factors.

Suzhou has upgraded the layout process of the designated hospitals for rehabilitation of COVID-19 patients by establishing a rehabilitation team composed of experts in pediatrics, breathing, spleen and stomach diseases, cardiovascular, traditional Chinese medicine, and psychology. The cured patients will receive a number of rehabilitation services including traditional Chinese medicine, health exercise, and psychological comfort.

In this battle against the epidemic, Wuxi made full use of its scientific and technological strength to build a solid line of defense for the people.

In Wuxi City Operation Management Center, the city's nucleic acid sampling data, inspection data, and testing data are presented in real time, including such data as the number of people sampled at each sampling point, the number of sampling tubes, the number of boxes, and the number of transport tubes.

By improving the nucleic acid detection speed and shortening the detection feedback time, Wuxi provides strong data support for precise prevention and control.
