The Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee held a leadership meeting Thursday afternoon to study the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Political Bureau meeting of the CPC Central Committee, the 40th group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the 26th meeting of the Comprehensive Deepening Reform Committee of the CPC Central Committee, the plenary session of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, and the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, said a statement released after the meeting.
Party committees at all levels in the province must always strengthen the management of the party as the most fundamental political responsibility, and the supervisory committees and the discipline inspection commissions at all levels must adhere to the organic combination of fulfilling the responsibility of assistance and supervision, and improve the responsibility pattern of governing the party, the statement said.
Efforts must be made to promote the anti-corruption struggle in various fields in a coordinated manner, improve the system and mechanism for the management of power and officials, move forward the anti-corruption defense line, deepen the reform of the supervision system, carry forward the glorious tradition and fine style of the party, carry out targeted party education and warning education, and strive to build a clean Jiangsu, said the statement.
It is necessary to continue to study and implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the meeting of the Central Committee for Deepening Reforms, advance the reform work in Jiangsu in depth, speed up the construction of the basic data system, promote the efficient circulation and use of data, empower the real economy, and coordinate the promotion of data property rights, circulation transactions, income distribution, and security governance, and strive to create a new highland for the innovation and development of the national digital economy,said the statement.
Efforts should be made to resolutely maintain the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, adhere to the overall stability of administrative region divisions, accelerate the construction of an evaluation system for scientific and technological talents by innovation value, ability and contribution, give full play to the role of large-scale payment and financial technology platforms, and promote the standardized and healthy development of the platform economy, better serve the development of the real economy and build a new development pattern,the statement said.
The second-phase project of the Huaihe River Basin's Inlet to the Sea will further expand the outlet of the Huaihe River floods into the sea, improve the flood control, waterlogging, and disaster reduction capabilities of the entire basin, and protect the flood season safety of more than 20 million people and more than 30 million mu of arable land in Hongze Lake and downstream areas, according to the statement.
Ensuring the flood control safety of the people in the flood detention area and creating conditions for the construction of secondary waterways is a major project to eliminate flooding, promote water conservancy, ensure rivers and lakes and food security, and also a major project to stabilize investment, growth and development, said the statement.
