East China’s Jiangsu province has taken multiple measures and comprehensive policies in recent years to promote the green transformation of traditional industries and continuously add new momentum to high-quality development.
Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co., Ltd. was recently selected into the list of provincial-level "Green Development Leading Enterprises".
In recent years, the company has invested more than 1 million yuan to improve the electroplating process, which has increased the utilization rate of electric energy by nearly 10%.
Lianyungang-based Kanion Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industrial Park, which is also listed in the "Green Development Leading Enterprises", has improved its sewage treatment capacity and realized wastewater reuse by introducing "high-efficiency catalytic oxidation" and "constructed wetland" processes.
"The reuse rate of wastewater can reach more than 50%, and the tail water after advanced treatment can be used for ornamental water supplement and garden greening irrigation," said Wu Yun, Executive Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
"The release of the list of leading enterprises in green development in Jiangsu is a transition from focusing on the development of the end to the development of the force and incentives. This way of cleanup from the source is more effective and more fundamental," said Li Zongyao, Member of the School Committee of the Party School of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Economics Teaching Department.
In recent years, focusing on pollution reduction and carbon reduction and source control, Jiangsu has implemented ultra-low emission transformation in key industries of power, steel, cement, and coking, by encouraging enterprises to give priority to the use of green and clean energy such as natural gas and photovoltaics.
The latest statistics show that Jiangsu has closed 4,454 chemical companies, 12 companies have been selected into the national energy efficiency "leader" list, and 174 national-level green factories and 14 parks have been built.
The energy consumption per unit of GDP and the energy consumption per unit of industrial increase decreased by 20.6% and 26.7% respectively.
