East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major industrial investment projects to give a strong impetus to building a modern industrial system.
Located in Suqian Economic Development Zone, Trina Solar Suqian Industrial Park started from the scratch four years ago to become a "super factory" of crystalline silicon photovoltaic in four major areas. The development of Trina Solar is also the epitome and reflection of the rapid development of Suqian’s crystalline silicon photovoltaic industrial chain from scratch.
With robot arms kept waving and automatic production line running at full gear, a piece of solar photovoltaic cell that has gone through nine processes can be rolled off the production line at an average of 0.98 seconds.
Trina Solar Photovoltaic Cell Project is a major provincial project and also a "No. 1 Industry" project in Suqian. Planned for completion in 2023, the project is expected to turn out 18GW of solar photovoltaic cells and 20GW of large-sized silicon wafers each year and generate annual sales of 45 billion yuan.
The project will become Trina Solar’s largest single photovoltaic production base in the world. The crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry is expected to become the first industry with an output value of 100 billion yuan in Suqian.
1500 workers are stepping up construction at the Lianyungang Petrochemical Green Chemical New Material Industrial Park. With a total investment of 15 billion yuan, the industrial park was started at the beginning of the year and will be constructed in three phases.
The products produced by the project can be widely used in the fields of washing products, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, lithium batteries and high-end electrical appliances, greatly improving the added value of existing petrochemical products, and making positive contributions to regional economic development.
