East China’s Jiangsu province launched on Sunday the spring campus recruitment week for fresh college graduates. The event was jointly held by the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
At the job fair in Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University, 195 enterprises and institutions from both inside and outside the province provided 12000 job vacancies in strategic emerging industries such as new generation information technology, new materials and new energy, and biomedicine, attracting more than 2000 college graduates.
Xiao Yuzhe, Student of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University said, "I want to find a position in information technology. This job fair provides jobs that match me well and provides relatively good salary. Most jobs offer a monthly salary of more than 15000 yuan."
Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Service Center, State Grid Nanrui Group Co., Ltd. said, "We provide interview subsidies for graduates from outside Nanjing to apply for jobs and work in Nanjing. New employees can live in the employee apartment for two years after starting work at Nanrui and we provide talent subsidies."
The recruitment week will be held in 20 colleges and universities until March 5. Special areas for policy publicity and employment guidance were set up at the job fairs to provide targeted policy guidance for graduates' employment, entrepreneurship and settlement.
Liu Hui, Director of Student Employment Guidance Center of Nanjing University said, "As long as the students have difficulties in job hunting and career selection, we will provide one-to-one consultants to help them improve their job hunting ability and provide one-to-one post release to provide them with targeted posts."
Since the beginning of the spring semester, colleges and universities across the province have announced 172 offline job fairs and 2818 lectures.
