Xin Changxing, Secretary of the provincial party committee, Xu Kunlin, governor of the province, and Zhang Yizhen, chairwoman of the provincial CPPCC, met in Nanjing on Tuesday with the visiting delegation of the Hong Kong CPPCC Provincial Members Association led by Zheng Xiangling, chairman of the Association, and Shi Ronghuai, president of the Association.
Xin Changxing welcomed the delegation's visit to Jiangsu. He said that people in Jiangsu and Hong Kong have carried out frequent exchanges with close affinity. The important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour to Jiangsu required Jiangsu to take the lead in promoting Chinese path to modernization and set an example, which has created new opportunities and broad space for recommending the integrated development of Jiangsu and Hong Kong.
He hoped that the Hong Kong CPPCC Provincial Members Association will give full play to its unique advantages, actively promote Jiangsu, provide suggestions for the development of Jiangsu, encourage more HK enterprises to choose Jiangsu at the investment destination, cultivate growth points with green, low-carbon, and high-quality projects, inject new momentum, deepen and expand all-round exchanges in various fields, and jointly serve the overall development of the country.
Jiangsu will make every effort to create a favorable development environment and provide better services for HK businesses to invest, innovate, start businesses, and live and work in Jiangsu.
Zheng Xiangling and Shi Ronghuai said that many members of the Hong Kong CPPCC Provincial Members Association have invested and developed in Jiangsu for many years and are very optimistic about the development prospects of Jiangsu, adding that the association will continue to serve as a bridge and link, actively expand new fields and channels of communication between Jiangsu and Hong Kong, and contribute more to the high-quality development and modernization construction of Jiangsu.
