East China's Jiangsu province is making the final spurt to ensure the completion of the annual targets, according to a provincial government executive meeting held on Monday. Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu, addressed the meeting.
Xu Kunlin pointed out that since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has made every effort to promote the overall improvement of economic operation, laying a solid foundation for achieving the annual goals. With the continuing trend of the current economic recovery, we must work together to ensure the comprehensive completion of the annual goals and tasks.
Xu Kunlin demanded efforts to play a key role in effective investment, promote the formation of more physical workload for projects under construction, focus on early deployment of reserves in areas such as transportation, energy, and technological innovation, carry out larger scale consumption promotion activities, take multiple measures to promote mass consumption such as automobiles and household appliances, better support rigid and improved housing demand, and further unleash consumption potential.
The provincial governor required continuous efforts in industrial technological innovation by strengthening the coordinated tackling of major technological challenges in the industrial chain, accelerating the construction of a "10+X" future industrial system with Jiangsu characteristics, creating a batch of strategic emerging industrial clusters with international competitiveness, accelerating the formation of new productive forces, strengthening high-tech and intellectual property intensive industries, and stimulating the integrated development of social capital and the real economy through industrial funds.
Xu Kunlin required relevant departments to create job vacancies for college graduates and migrant workers, ensure stable prices of livelihood goods and energy supply, better coordinate development and security, prevent and resolve risks and hidden dangers in finance, safety production, real estate and some other fields, and ensure social harmony and stability.
Ma Xin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, presided over the meeting.
