East China's Jiangsu province will continue to deepen the reform of the construction industry, and promote the industrialization, digitization, and green development of the construction industry, according to a recent document released by the provincial government.
By 2025, Jiangsu will cultivate 30 intelligent construction backbone enterprises and 150 backbone enterprises with engineering general contracting and full process engineering consulting capabilities.
Jiangsu will promote new breakthroughs in transformation and upgrading, achieve significant technological empowerment, accelerate the application of new construction methods and construction organization methods, continuously enhance the comprehensive strength of construction enterprises, and preliminarily build a construction powerhouse.
Jiangsu will promote the expansion of construction enterprises into the field of infrastructure, support construction enterprises to enter large-scale infrastructure fields such as bridges and tunnels, ports and waterways, local railways, highways, water conservancy projects, rail transit, and power energy, and guide enterprises to actively participate in the construction of new infrastructure such as 5G base stations, new energy vehicle charging stations, big data centers, artificial intelligence, and industrial internet.
Jiangsu will also establish and improve a standard system for the entire intelligent construction industry chain by focusing on the goal of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking, strengthening the concept of green construction, promoting key core technology research and industrial application of green construction, and supporting construction enterprises so as to establish national and provincial engineering research centers and enterprise technology centers, enhance technological innovation capabilities, and promote the transformation of traditional construction methods to new construction methods.
